CBC 11u Black & Orange clubs have began their workouts for the 2012 season. While holding practices twice a week, the bulls are preparing to dominate at our tournaments. However you want to perform in the game, that drive should start in practice. At Cepeda Baseball, we take our practices very serious, and expect each player to learn something each workout.  Our staff will target all aspects of the game at each practice, and strive to teach the proper fundamentals to play the great game of baseball. All of the CBC teams are at a development stage in their career. We want to teach and watch them grow on a daily basis. Our staff is geared to teach and help them apply what’s being taught. You cant become a great player overnight and we understand that. All players are different, and will development in different way. You can’t teach every player the same. Adjusting to the player, and building trust between coach and student is our goal.

Understanding that this is a game of failure is the first rule we teach at CBC. Its easy to play hard, its hard to play good. As an athlete , you cant always perform the way you like. One thing you can control is how hard you play, and your mindset while your between the lines. Giving 100% on and off the field, will install a winning attitude and will  help you build that bridge between life and sports. As we like to say to our boys ” Your only as good as your next performance”. If  you strike out, or hit a homerun, you still have to focus on your next at bat. If your offense is not on that day, than make it the best defensive game of your life. That’s how team chemistry is built,   and  trust & respect is gained from your peers.
