Cepeda Baseball Caribbean Classic August 4 - August 10, 2013

1st Annual Cepeda Baseball Caribbean Classic will be held in Puerto Rico. Cepeda Baseball will bring players from different states to compete in a 4 day tournament in Puerto Rico, and spending 6 days total in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Cepeda Baseball will travel to compete against the islands best talent.  This tournament will provide so much more than baseball and it will show all our Cepeda Baseball players how baseball is so much more than a game. Teams from PR will be ready to compete and win between the lines. We are looking for players that can play the game and will give it 100% until the last out.

Age brackets will be 11/12 , 13/14, and 15/16.  Two teams per age group will be selected to travel. Rosters will be chosen from athletes selected from 10+ national tryout events held in Northern & Southern California, Texas, Chicago, Washington, New Jersey and many more. These tryouts events will attract lots of great talent, wanting to take advantage of this great opportunity to travel to the Caribbean and bring home a championship.

Coaching staff consist of former MLB stars, current college coaches, and many more nationally acclaimed baseball mentors. College coaches and pro scouts will be in attendance at the 15/16u and 17/18 level. Opening ceremonies will take place with all the teams participating in this tournament, and the flag presentation and lots of traditional attractions. We will have daily games, while enjoying organized night time activities and designated sightseeing tours. 

Hall of Famer Orlando Cepeda & Cepeda Baseball Club (Northern California) brings our players to his homeland to compete against up and coming Puerto Rican ball players. All participants traveling will learn about Puerto Rican culture, diversity, scholastics, baseball fundamentals, attitude, character, dedication, team play, and the importance of giving back. Our top priority is to encourage ball players to reach their potential both on and off the baseball field, while appreciating how life and baseball is different in other places.

Players, staff, and traveling families will be staying at the Courtyard Isla Verde Beach Resort in Isla Verde.  This hotel is 10 minutes from the airport, and a beautiful beach front property.  Please view the slide show below to see sample images of the resort.
